ABOUT ME

Like many practitioners, I began studying to learn more about my own health. I was especially fascinated by hormones and the reproductive system. It’s surprising how little we are taught about our own bodies! As I applied what I was learning in my nutrition and phytotherapy classes, I saw incredible changes in my cycle: reduced cramps, fewer mood swings, and more energy. I learned how to track my cycle and recognize signs of my fertile window. Reconnecting with my body and its natural rhythms was transformative, and it became clear that I wanted to focus my practice on helping others understand their bodies and feel empowered in their hormonal health.

As my life evolved, so did my work. After having my first son, I realized how unprepared I was for the intensity of postpartum life, despite my knowledge. I had no idea how all-consuming motherhood would be or how easy it would be to neglect my own care. I remember going downtown just weeks after my son was born to pick up herbs, wondering why I hadn’t planned better. I felt depleted, tired, overwhelmed, struggled with boundaries, and my mental health suffered.

When I became pregnant with my second son, I was determined to have a different experience. I dove deep into postpartum research, identified where I would need help, and made sure to ask for it. I prepared nourishing food and healing tinctures ahead of time so I wouldn’t have to think about it once my son arrived. I set better boundaries and simplified our lives. When my baby was born, I was able to focus on rest, breastfeeding, and supporting my older son through this huge transition.

My second postpartum experience was completely different. I felt nourished, calm, and healed quickly, with enough energy to enjoy the moment. It was the postpartum I wish for every mom, and now it’s the experience I help others create.
